The SLF´s Rehabilitation Center - Æfingastöðin - currently provides physical and occupational therapy to almost 1600 children and their families. Most of our clients are children and youth with motor developmental delays or motor impairments. Some do also have ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, mental retardation or other conditions. Through collaboration, education and therapy we aim to maximize each child´s potential and participation to enriching their quality of life.

The SLF's Rehabilitation Center works in partnership with several other organizations providing services to children with disabilities and their families, such as the State Diagnostic and Counseling Center, The National Children's hospital, The Community Health and Social Services and Sjónarhóll - Counseling Center, in order to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services and support.

The SLF´s Rehabilitation Center provides individual and group-based services. It has excellent facilities,operates a swimming pool, a gym and animal assisted services. Therapists also service clients at other locations such as private homes, schools, preschools and child care centers.
